This is Everywhere

First things first.. this makes me laugh.

"Dude"

Second..

It kind of makes me sad to think of how different things have been in my life since I graduated high school. It's only been two and a half years, but I feel like I should be attending my 10 year reunion any day. It's sad when you go from having a group of friends like this

To having only one close friend- a girl not pictured there.

But people change. Life moves on..blah blah blah. Blah. Blah.

just because we know stuff like this happens, doesn't make it any easier.

-hugs- i know you're having a tough time right now, & i can only hope it gets better for you soon!

p.s. i totally wish we could watch wife swap together!

I feel the exact same way. It's so weird to see how things fade and change. I still love my friends as they were back then, but it's just not that way anymore.

At any rate, I'm glad to have made one new good friend in you!

Girl, I know exactly what you are going through. I had a huge group of friends for 4 years in college that since then have "phased me out" for different reasons. I found out a couple of weeks ago that they were all having a "reunion" on New Years and I wasn't invited. It is really hurtful. So hang in there and if you ever need anyone to vent to ... I'm here! :)

Honestly, I have been there and I think I am better off without them. You should really take a look @ things and see if you really are missing much from those you surrounded yourself with. Good thing is... 10 years go by so fast. Its already been two and change from HS for me.

HAHA that first pic is hilarious.

Secondly, *hug* I know that feeling. I knew lots of people in high school, I now talk to 1 of them on a semi-regular basis and we aren't that close. Hang in there peach! I heart you big!

i know the feeling. you always hear that too, "you'll only end up with 2 or 3 close friends" and it does happen. but you are so amazing! you will make so many more great close friends that you will have for life. i heart you!

Don't worry, I'll bet your friends feel the same way. Usually you just need someone to initiate a reuinion. I've been that person amongst my friends and it's definitely rewarding. Either way I hope things start looking up for you soon. Just remember it's the downs that make the ups so great. I know that doesn't make it any better, but I feel like we're so blessed to know the difference between good and bad and sadness and joy. And here I am dishing out "wisdom" where it's not asked for. Sorry. I'll stop.

Having a great group of friends is a great feeling. You're practically never lonely. But having one close friend can be great too--quality time with just one person and quality time with yourself.

Wow! This pic of Robert Pattinson just made my day--I'm secretly in love with him. Pathetic, but true.
I've realized as I have gotten older that friends are becoming few and far between. The friends that I had in high school and college(with a few exceptions) are no longer my friends anymore for mainly one reason: we no longer have the same interests/life goals--not that those friends were necessarily bad friends(some were), but that spark just isn't there anymore. I look at it as a sort of weeding out (the bad ones)process. Not necessarily a negative thing.

I have a group of 4 bestie girlfriends. Only one is from high school. The rest I've been blessed to meet along the way!

It's true, life always moves on! But the "space" leaves room for something else to fill it up. And hopefully overflow... :)

It's really interesting how friends come in and out of your life for a season - and a season could be a few months or 10 years! It's hard when you grow apart, but I think there's something to that about maturing and moving on, and just keeping the experiences you had with them.

I started going through some of your old blog posts, and wow.. how I can relate to this. I have only one really close friend right now (besides my boyfriend), and she's long-distance too. So sad.
