Evolution of a Puppy

Gunther, a.k.a. Monster (a name he lives up to) decided to grow up on me.

Ignore, if you will, the dirt and slobber covered ball in the corner. He loves to play fetch.

I am currently sitting here contemplating a few harsh realities of my life:

1. The power in the kitchen went out, I'm the only one awake, and I have no idea how to reset the breaker. Also, the breaker is outside, protected by 3 foot long bushes full of spiders and other bugs eager to rip me to shreds.

2. Two huge flies decided to take up residence in my room. After an hour of trying to shoo them out my door, I ended up being the one leaving. I came back, and they were both still there. I waged war. One died, one wounded.. waiting to regain strength and attack again.

3. On a more serious note, I have no friends in this area anymore. I severed ties (no regret) with most people I went to high school with, who were flat out bad influences in my life. People I had no desire to know or stay friends with. I had a few friends left here before I moved, but after two years away it seems like they don't care to see me anymore. I've tried more than once to set something up, but I'm always met with "I'm busy, I'm working, I'm tired." It's discouraging, and I'm tired of trying. That leaves me with the problem of entertaining myself, which I'm just no good at.

4. I cannot find a job for the life of me. I have applied at plenty of places, and received plenty of "Thanks, but no thanks" emails in return. It's downright depressing. I spend my days applying to jobs that I keep getting rejected from, and wishing I had a friend so I could escape the house. It's a vicious, nasty little cycle.

PUPPPPPY!!! Love love love Monster :)

I would definitely be lighting as many candles as possible and getting a 10-person supply of flashlights before going to the breaker. EEK!
I really think that you'll find a job when the time is right - hard to hear, I KNOW. I was waiting/applying/rejected for jobs for 3.5 months before I got one. It was so so so hard, so I understand how you feel. Keep your chin up! Someone will finally understand they are crazy not to hire you!

At least when you are feeling down you have that adorable puppy to snuggle up to! That's when I do when I'm down, I hug my dog :)

Come to Lincoln!! It was voted the #1 place to find work. At least that's what a billboard told me on my way home from work tonight.
